Caribbean Arts Week
We had an excellent Caribbean Arts Week. The children really enjoyed the opportunity to choose some of the learning experiences and have developed a real understanding of, life in, and the culture of, the Caribbean Islands.
All the children were able to select activities that interested them and work with a wide range of adults and children. Apart from the vibrant learning that was created we should not underestimate the impact and benefits for children when they work and build new relationships with different children and adults. There was real buzz in school for the entire week and the children were very motivated.
I am sure the children have told you about the highlights of the week for them and you can see lots of photographs and displays around school.
During the week we had a number of visitors in school including St.Clair who was a very charismatic steel pan player, Caroline leading thematic Yoga and a cricketer.
